TEXT: 1 SAMUEL. 15:1-35
Every man created are for a purpose of "WORSHIPING and TO OBEY HIM", which must be in truth and in spirit { John. 4:23-24}. But our dominance was a result of our obedience to HIM. The first pronouncement from God to man is to DOMINATE, which was lost as a result of their disobedience {Gen. 3:1-end}
WHAT IS OBEDIENCE?
GOOGLE DEFINITION: Compliance with an order, request, or law or submission to another authority.
Obedience is behavior that's RESPECTFUL and MINDFUL of rules and LAWS.
BIBLICAL DEFINITION:
God has given human kind the innate power of choice, the choice of obedience leads to God's promised blessing of LIFE, the choice of disobedience leads to CURSE, JUDGEMENT, and DEATH.
MY PERSONAL DEFINITION
Obedience is doing what seems inconvenient to man in sacrificial way with great reward at the end. Obedient can never be convenient when observing it. [Romans. 8:7]; whatever you are doing and is comfortable for your body is definitely enmity to your maker {GOD}. your obedience is a sign of honoring God {Malachi. 1:6}
WHAT FOLLOWS AFTER DISOBEDIENCE?
1. REGRESSION: ADAM AND EVE regret their life for disobeying GOD'S simple instruction. It is better for one to be in good record than regretting knowing God, many did it and they couldn't enjoy the benefit of having God as their father. Saul, Samson, Kora, Dothan and Abiram all regretted knowing God because of their simple disobedience.
PP; OH lord my father, don't ;et me regret coming to this world, because I have known you, help me to obey you to the letter.
2. CURSES: Adam and Eve were really enjoying the garden of Eden, because God's blessing was upon their life, but immediately they disobeyed God their creator. Your prayer ought to have been answered but your disobedient to God and parent has been denying you, why not repent and restitute today.
PP: Whatever curses I have encounter as a result of disobeying you and my parent, let the blood of Jesus cancel them all In Jesus Name.
3.LOST OF DOMINANCY: Samson had a very great impact during his reigning period, but lost his dominancy as a result of his disobedience to God and his parent by marrying strange woman. His eyes that represent his vision were removed [Judges. 16:21]. Why should you allow devil to blunt your vision, when you think you are exposed not knowing you are decomposing, be careful!!!
4. REJECTION: God rejected Adam and Eve, also King Saul was rejected as a result of disobeying God, never allow men accolade to ruin you of your future. [GEN. 3:24, 1 SAM.12:23]. They were enjoying God's presence, blessing, grace and favour until they missed out of grace. I pray you will not miss out of God's grace In Jesus Name.
IF I OBEY/HONOUR GOD, WHO AM I?
When you decided to obey the Lord your maker, you are;
1. GOD'S FRIEND: [JOHN.15:14]: When you are his friend, you can ask of anything you want from him and he will do it without delay, your obedience determine your time of prayer being answered.
2. ENMITY TO THE WORLD: [ROMANS. 8:7, 1 COR. 2:14-16, JAM.4:4]: Your friends will desert you because you are God's friend now, remember one with God is a Majority. You can loose some now but gainful will it be at the end of it all.
3. YOU BECOME THE BELOVED OF THE LORD: [MARK. 1:11, ISAIAH. 26:3]
THIS IS NOT JUST GIVEN YOU LIFE TO CHRIST, BUT A RESTITUTION IN COMING BACK TO YOUR MAKER, HAVE YOU IN ONE WAY OR THE OTHER DISOBEY GOD OR YOUR PARENTS, KINDLY SAY THIS AFTER ME:
Lord Jesus, I have come back like a prodigal son, accept me and never wise cast me out according to your words, grant me power to key into the grace that is available for obedient children of yours, I genuinely repented and reverse every evil action In Jesus name. JESUS IS LORD AND SAVIOUR OF MY LIFE.
